The Food: Banana Sauce

INGREDIENTS
Cream or Half & Half
Butter
Sugar
Dark Rum

Melt enough butter to cover the bottom of a sauce pan and have about a half inch there.   When it starts to bubble add the thinly sliced bananas. Allow them to cook until they are soft and starting to break down.  Add some sugar and continue to stir until it gets thick.  Then add a couple of ounces of rum (be careful, it is a stove with flames beneath there), and stir, allowing most of the alcohol to evaporate.  Add in slowly some cream or half & half, stir while you are slowly pouring it in.

You can now use this for the half moons recipe, as a topping over vanilla ice cream, even straight like a pudding but NOT A LOT, you know there is butter and sugar and rum in this!
